HOW personal training WORKS

You commit to a specified period during which I will develop a customized training program. As your dedicated coach, I’ll provide you with the resources, structure, and support needed to achieve the best possible results in just two or three hours of training per week.

  • Choose between 2, 3, or 4 sessions per week to match your goals and schedule;
  • Programs are tailored to accommodate beginners as well as advanced trainees;
  • A minimum recommended duration of 3 months to ensure progress and sustainability.

Why is personal training important?

With a qualified personal trainer, you gain access to specialized expertise, helping you avoid years of trial and error and achieve faster progress.

A skilled personal trainer tailors the workout intensity to your fitness level, progressively pushing your limits to optimize your training experience. The accountability and support provided are crucial for long-term success, offering benefits that solo training cannot replicate.

However, be cautious when selecting a trainer, as not all personal trainers are equally skilled. Unfortunately, the fitness industry has individuals who lack the necessary experience or qualifications. It's important to research and choose a trainer with a proven track record of success and expertise.

What does a typical training session involve?

In your first session, we will begin with a comprehensive 90-minute consultation, including a body composition assessment and a gym-floor movement screening. This initial evaluation provides critical insights that allow me to design a tailored training and nutrition plan aligned with your unique goals.

Once your program is underway, each session will start with a brief check-in to review your progress before moving into a challenging workout. I focus on making every minute count—no wasting time on treadmills or excessive stretching. Instead, we prioritize resistance training and specific movements that drive your body composition goals, ensuring exceptional results. Every session is designed to push you toward your full potential, maximizing your investment of time and effort.

How many personal training sessions do i need weekly?

For beginners, starting with two sessions per week is a great approach. It allows you to gradually build strength, endurance, and consistency without overwhelming your body. This frequency provides enough stimulus for muscle adaptation while allowing for adequate recovery as your body adjusts to new movements and intensity.

As your fitness level improves, you can increase the frequency to three to four weekly sessions for enhanced results. Most of my clients find that this frequency strikes the perfect balance between maximizing progress and ensuring enough recovery time. This will help you see improvements in strength, endurance, and body composition without risking burnout or overtraining.

Once I notice that my clients have gained enough skills and confidence in resistance training, they can also start doing some sessions independently, allowing for more flexibility while maintaining progress. The key to success is consistency. Whether you start with two or more sessions, maintaining a regular routine will deliver significant progress over time.

How long should I train with a personal trainer?

The duration of training with a personal trainer depends on your individual goals. Some clients train until they reach their initial objectives, such as weight loss, muscle gain, or improving fitness levels. However, many clients choose to continue training long-term to sustain progress, benefit from ongoing accountability, and receive expert support to maintain their results.

Clients who reach a more advanced level can continue following my periodized programs through the TeamBuildr app. This allows them to work independently while still receiving tailored guidance. This option provides flexibility while ensuring they continue progressing with the right support.

Will I be advised on diet and supplements during my training?

Yes, this service is included in my personal training packages at no extra cost. I will create a personalized nutrition and supplement plan tailored to your lifestyle, goals, and preferences. Together, we'll set your calorie and macronutrient targets based on your body composition to ensure optimal results. Our focus will be on nutrient-dense foods such as lean meats, vegetables, and healthy fats to maximize health benefits and keep your energy levels high.

While supplements aren’t the foundation of your diet, they can fill nutritional gaps, especially during fat-loss phases or when specific nutrients are lacking. Rest assured, I only recommend scientifically proven, high-quality products that offer real benefits. You'll also receive ongoing support to seamlessly integrate this nutrition strategy with your training plan for maximum effectiveness.
